Every season brings different opportunities. In winter it is about intense hydration and warm colour tones. In spring, clients want to refresh. Around Mother's Day and year-end, demand for gift vouchers and duo treatments rises.
The salons that benefit most do not plan ad hoc. They work with a seasonal calendar: which promotion when, which services you show, and how you reach clients.
Salontailor helps you execute that calendar without rebuilding your catalogue each time. Events for special moments, services temporarily set to inactive, discount periods on treatments and newsletters that bring it all together.
A seasonal calendar that works
Start with the fixed moments: Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, spring, summer holiday, autumn, Black Friday, year-end. Note per moment what you want to promote: a new treatment, an event, a discount campaign or a gift voucher campaign.
Keep it manageable. Three well-executed promotions per quarter is better than something new every week that your team cannot handle. Your calendar is a guide, not an obligation to sell continuously.
Events for special moments
For open days, workshops or a special evening with tastings and demos, use events in Salontailor. You create an event with date, capacity, price and optionally a deposit upon registration.
Events appear in your booking widget when you enable that. Clients register online, data automatically enters your client database and confirmation emails go out on their own. Ideal for a Mother's Day workshop, a product launch or a VIP evening for regular clients.

Setting services to inactive
Not every service belongs in your catalogue all year round. Some salons offer winter treatments only in colder months, or a limited summer promotion on specific zones.
Do not delete those services each time. Set them to inactive in Salontailor. They remain saved with price, duration and settings, but do not appear in your agenda or in the online booking widget. Reactivate them when the season starts.
That also works per category: an entire category can be inactive, or only part of the services in it. That way you keep overview without losing historical data.
Temporary discounts on services
Want to temporarily reduce the price of laser hair removal or another treatment during a quiet period? Set a temporary promotional price on the service or category, with a percentage or fixed amount and a clear start and end date.
While the promotion runs, the widget automatically shows the lower price. When the period ends, everything reverts to your standard rate. No manual updating of your website or price list.
Combine promotional prices with discount codes for targeted campaigns. A code via your newsletter or social media gives only those who receive the promotion the discount. That way you do not underprice your entire catalogue for everyone who walks in.

Newsletters and widget promotions
A seasonal promotion works better when clients also see it outside your widget. Via newsletters you send a campaign to subscribed clients: subject, text, header image and a button to your booking page.
Filter on who booked a certain service in the past, or on clients who have not visited in a while. That way your email feels personal instead of generic.
In the widget settings you can also show a promotional message at the top of the booking process, with photo and text. Useful for making a running promotion or an event immediately visible to everyone who books online.

Example: laser promotion in a quiet period
Suppose: in January and February you want to promote laser zones because the agenda is quieter. Here is how to approach it in Salontailor:
- Set a temporary discount on the laser services with an end date at the end of February.
- Activate a widget notification with the promotion text and a link to the right category.
- Send a newsletter to clients who previously booked laser, with an optional discount code.
- Measure in your reports how many bookings come in via the widget during the promotion.
After the period, the discount automatically expires. Adjust or turn off the widget notification. Your catalogue stays intact, your team knows when the promotion stops, and you do not have to re-enter anything.
Conclusion: plan seasons instead of improvising
A seasonal calendar is not a marketing document that disappears in a drawer. With events, inactive services, temporary prices and newsletters, you execute that calendar directly in Salontailor.
You show what is relevant, hide what does not fit, and reach clients at the right moment. That way you get more from quiet periods without constantly rebuilding your entire salon.
